ABSTRACT
Health policy and management is a multidisciplinary fi eld of inquiry and practice concerned with the delivery, quality and costs of health care for individuals and populations. How health services are provided impacts on the health of the population, as well as on their health seeking behaviours. This part will use case studies to illustrate the issues which arise when shaping and reforming systems.
