ABSTRACT
The study of collective intentionality is an interdisciplinary pursuit. Philosophical theories of collective intentionality inform and are informed by empirical research. Especially lively areas of interaction are those that concern the development of collective intentionality in children, the evolution of collective intentionality, and, related to both of these, the extent to which collective intentionality is present in non-human animals.
