ABSTRACT
This chapter’s focus is on what we can learn from thinking through connections between main factors raised in the field of religion and ecology and the field of environmental justice (EJ) studies. A number of scholars have noted that there is not much literature linking these two fields (Immergut and Kearns 2012; see Jenkins 2013 for an insightful analysis of the limits and problems stemming from the methodological whiteness of religion and ecology), but some have begun to bridge this gap (e.g. Jenkins 2013; Ruether 2005).
