ABSTRACT
Identities are a plural concept with rich, and sometimes contradictory, meanings. As defined by Tracy (2002: 17–18), identities are “best thought of as stable features of persons that exist prior to any particular situation, and are dynamic and situated accomplishments, enacted through talk, changing from one occasion to the next…. Identities are social categories and are personal and unique.”
