ABSTRACT
This chapter presents an overview of the key issues around representation and involvement of Indigenous groups in urban planning. Case studies of urban planning in South Australia provide insights into how Indigenous peoples remain either misrepresented or not involved in decision making in cities. The chapter concludes with some suggestions for ways forward, suggesting greater and wider involvement in but also incorporation of Indigenous perspectives within all facets of urban planning being a necessary first step.
