ABSTRACT

Since the introduction of MTV, the level of sexual exhibitionism required of top-level global female popular music stars has intensified considerably.1 In recent years, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Shakira, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Nicki Minaj have all incorporated same-sex attraction and seduction into their acts, performing lesbianism, bisexuality, or heteroflexibility/bicuriosity in their lyrics, videos, and live performances.
