ABSTRACT
Deagrarianisation is essentially a multidimensional process of change involving: (i) livelihood reorientation; (ii) occupational work adjustment; (iii) spatial realignment of residential settlement; and (iv) social reidentification, all entailing movement away from agrarian patterns in local and regional economies (Bryceson, 2002a).
