ABSTRACT
We started this project with a two-pronged goal: first, to provide a detailed snapshot about the current state of the literature in the field of judicial behavior; second, to offer scholars various directions for new research and to spark additional conversations about important debates. To frame the primary mission of this book we adopted an observation from Baum’s 1997 book, The Puzzle of Judicial Behavior, and his conclusion that this puzzle largely remains unsolved.
