ABSTRACT

This Handbook provides a comprehensive survey of linguistic research on language in the workplace written by both established and emerging scholars from around the world. In the past 20 years an increasing number of researchers have investigated spoken and written data from workplace settings, and workplace discourse research is now a well-established field within its own right. A Handbook on Language in the Workplace within Routledge’s Handbooks of Linguistics series acknowledges this and provides both current researchers and students with an invaluable resource.
