ABSTRACT
John Ryan Torrey is currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at SUNY Buffalo State. In the interview in this chapter, he discusses his work with the Philosophical Horizons, an outreach program of the Philosophy Department of the University of Memphis, and how it connects to his professional goals of using philosophy to help black and Latinx communities find their civic voices.
