Trauma and its treatment in forensic settings

Psychological trauma and its sequelae are common in all settings in our society but are particularly common in certain occupational settings, such as the military, the police, fire, ambulance and other emergency services and in certain other environments. One of these is certainly the forensic environment where a larger number of people than usual have been exposed to psychological trauma (Kristiansson, Sumelius & Søndergaard, 1994).
