ABSTRACT
Over the past few years the central areas of many cities have witnessed remarkable changes. This dynamic has allowed them to become both lively and vibrant as a result of the hotel industry, retail, leisure facilities and tourism in general. Berlin is the most impressive case of this in Europe (Bader and Bialluch, 2008; Füller and Michel, 2014).
