ABSTRACT

Great cities are extraordinary monuments to civilization. These dynamic metropolises with their glittery aura of prosperity and human fulfillment are like enormous magnets, pulling people to them. The massive tide of immigrants swarming to the urban life grows daily. The rural poor, clutching hopes, dreams, and all their worldly goods give up subsistence farming and stream to the cities to find work, social services, and schools for their children to escape the poverty cycle.
