ABSTRACT

For decades, economists, policy makers and practitioners of development have contended that national development is dependent on a myriad of factors. In this regard, several specific potential determinants of national development espoused in the pertinent literature were considered in this book classification into seven thematic areas. Findings of the analyses were highlighted and the lessons learnt were used as the bases for making recommendations on how developing countries would be able to improve efforts aimed at enhancing national development.
