ABSTRACT
It is hard to believe that we launched Self-Reg only three and a half years ago. Two extraordinary things have happened in this short time. The first is that Self-Reg has spread right across Canada, faster and further than anyone would ever have dreamt possible. This occurred entirely by word of mouth. If anything, our intention was the exact opposite: to keep it small and roll out Self-Reg gradually, beginning in preschool and early primary settings. But it was because that first group of teachers was so enthusiastic about the changes they were seeing, and shared this with their colleagues, that Self-Reg took on a life of its own. Before we knew it, we were working with middle and secondary schools, and now with colleges and universities.
