ABSTRACT
Revisiting the notion of the “Southeast Asian City”, this part consists of two sections. First is the various perspectives in looking at the “Southeast Asian city” or the “city in Southeast Asia” and the urbanization processes related to the continuously evolving cities. The second section is the methodological challenges in defining and examining urbanization in the region that would affect possibilities in the theorization of urbanization from the ground.
