ABSTRACT
Ukraine continues to surprise the world. In its eighth year of independence, the ruling political elite has not succeeded in leading the country to the road to economic growth. Furthermore, if one looks at the current economic situation and the measures taken by the Ukrainian government, there is no sign of any improvement. The country continues to slide, as the government looks more and more like an emergency headquarters, trying to alleviate symptoms but not eliminating the causes of the serious problems of the Ukrainian economy. It is impossible to predict the results of such an uncontrolled development.
