ABSTRACT
It is quite natural that sheikh a Yusuf Hamadani should occupy an honored place in the hagiology of Khorezm b and all Central Asia: it was he who introduced Sufism c to Central Asia, and it was to his school that many prominent Sufis, who form the main contingent of local saints, belonged.
