ABSTRACT
In 1965 the brochure for the seminar programme at Esalen in California laid out what is perhaps the fundamental question posed by Humanistic Psychology: ‘What are the limits of human ability, the boundaries of human experience? What does it mean to be a human being?’ (Anderson, 2004).
