Filipino Catholic Students and Prayer as Conversation with God

In the Philippines where 80 per cent of the population professes to be Catholic (National Statistics Office 2008), prayer is a predictably highly-practised religious activity. According to the most recent national survey on religiosity, 73 per cent of Filipinos pray at least once a day, compared to 55.4 per cent in the US and 19 per cent in the UK (ISSP Research Group 2008).
