ABSTRACT
The Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations (General Convention) provides defined privileges and immunities for two categories of persons who are entrusted with carrying out the mandates of the Organization, namely “officials” and “experts on mission.” 1 This Article builds on a prior article by the author, which dealt with experts on mission, 2 by focusing on the privileges and immunities conferred on officials by the General Convention.
