Greek Literature in Palestine in the Eighth Century

Among the papers of the learned American orientalist and Byzantinist Robert Pierpont Blake, who died on the 9th May 1950 (see Le Muséon 77, 1964, p. 29), several unedited works have been found. Our esteemed collaborator, Prof. Robert W. Thomson, of the University of Harvard, undertook to collect these documents and to edit those in manuscript. Mrs. Blake has kindly given Le Muséon permission to publish her husband's unedited works; we would like to express our gratitude to her as well as to his son Igor R. Blake.
