ABSTRACT
There have been considerable developments in preservation management in libraries over the last thirty years or so and many of these are reflected in the professional and academic literature. There is now a range of publications to which librarians, archivists, academics, students and others can turn for information about the various aspects of the topic. In recent years, textbooks, policy statements, guidelines, reports, bibliographies, periodicals and journal articles have been published by a variety of commercial publishers, research institutions, national libraries, cooperative consortia, academics and practitioners.
