Methods for the Study of Human Relations in Industry*

The Committee on Human Relations in Industry ¹ at the University of Chicago was organized early in 1943 to carry on research in the social organization of industry and of our industrial society. On the basis of our own and earlier studies we have formulated certain ideas as to the research approach to this field, which will be discussed here.
