ABSTRACT
Concern about the portrayal of alcohol and other drugs on television shows is tied to the expectation that these portrayals are frequent and typically favorable. If that is so, then the further expectation is that viewers will respond to such displays of alcohol in terms of their attitudes and possibly their drinking habits as well.
