ABSTRACT
Presently, great concern exists among educators concerning problems related to drug use in the schools and concomitant problems of poor school performance and anti-social behavior. This concern is particularly acute in inner-city school situations or at school sites with a high percentage of minority students. This study reports preliminary descriptive results of a research effort directed at examining drug use and related knowledge and attitudes among a group of potential dropouts and low-achieving Mexican-American students.
