Communication within a dysfunctional family in Late Antique Egypt 1

This chapter takes the theme of ancient communication and turns to Late Antique Egypt, examining a papyrus archive from the late third century. In particular, it looks at one papyrus which seems to be related to that archive, though it was not originally published along with its other pieces. The archive, especially this additional letter, provides some insight into the matter of family communication in Egypt in the late third century. ²
