ABSTRACT
The provocative title for this keynote is the result of some comparing of notes and brainstorming about the history and relevance of communication research in the US and Europe between Prof. James Anderson (James Anderson & Michael Middleton 2014a, b) and myself (Servaes, 2012a, 2015) lately.
