ABSTRACT

It is our pleasure to reflect on, synthesize, and interpret the many different applications of attitude theory in practice. As a whole, the chapters reflect the sentiment of Eagly and Chaiken (2005) that understanding the nature of attitudes is integral to understanding human behavior and addressing social problems. We view this inaugural Volume 2 summary chapter as the start of a veritable feedback loop that identifies unanswered and challenging research questions in practice and communicates those questions back to attitude theorists and other academics interested in pursuing attitude research. Based on the insights gleaned from the progress and achievements of those actively employing attitude research, we offer a number of research questions for future attitude scholars to explore.
