Women in Turkey and the Potential for Open Learning

Ülkü S. Köymen works as an assistant professor at Qukurova University, Faculty of Education, Adana/Turkey. She received her B.A. from Ankara University, majoring in Sociology, Psychology and Education; her M.A. from Hacettepe University, majoring in Curriculum Development; and her Ph.D. from Syracuse University, majoring in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation. Her published articles include: “Scientific Basis for the Written Instructional Materials Prepared for Open University in Turkey,” “The Role and Function of Instructional Technology for Effective Teaching” and “Student and Faculty Perceptions of Turkish Open Learning System.”
