Free-Play Behaviours of Nursery Schoolchildren in an Indoor and Outdoor Environment

Play is an important part of the lives of young children. Beginning with the first few months of life, this complex set of behaviours can be observed in nearly any situation in which children are present (Collard, 1972). The grocery store, a laundromat, an alley behind the house, a playground, the home, the school classroom – these are some of the many environments in which children play.
