ABSTRACT

After completing undergraduate studies in fine arts and postgraduate studies in international cooperation, the question about the place of artistic processes in development interventions has continuously fed my creative projects and research. At that time I could barely find experiences of local development where culture and art had an important role to play, and I felt disappointed because it seemed that from my field of knowledge, art, I could not contribute much with respect to the development of a community, since nothing of this sort was part of the contents of the course. Since then I have studied how each of these fields of knowledge has been renewed and has expanded its frontiers and I have witnessed how the number of artistic interventions working with communities and in a more collaborative way has grown.
