ABSTRACT

In this chapter Tom Warnecke, from the UK, focuses on the therapist’s body as a source of uncovering interpersonal knowledge in a body psychotherapy session. Warnecke describes how the therapist’s body can act as a physical utility for both therapist’s and client’s emotional/biological processing by attending to the therapist’s embodied awareness in treatment and describes the value of the therapist’s embodied awareness in sessions.
