ABSTRACT

Depth, developmental psychotherapies foster both the re-patterning of problematic interactions arising from early distressful attachments and profound transformations of client and psychotherapist. Buddhist psychology and philosophy further thinking within embodied psychotherapies. In particular, awareness and mindfulness practices imported into psychotherapy enable individuals to become more connected to themselves, to others and to the wider environment. This opens the way for expanding into universal states of awareness and healing at depth.
