ABSTRACT

These authors describe psychological re-sources in integral dance and dance movement therapy in four clusters: Pleasure, Engagement, Power, and Meaning. The article introduces the psychological resources model, which the authors use in DMT, based on Ken Wilber’s transpersonal approach with the three major perspectives of subjective (I-resources), intersubjective (I–You- or I–We resources), and objective resources (I and material resources). Supported by research findings from positive psychology, ‘Pleasure’, ‘Engagement’, ‘Power’, and ‘Meaning’ have been identified as central ‘I-resources’. The chapter focuses on these resources and the practical side of working with them.
