ABSTRACT
Among the Mediterranean countries, there are profound differences in population growth rates, socio-economic conditions and natural resources availability, all factors able to undermine the process of Euro-Mediterranean cohesion and create a situation of structural weakness that makes them extremely vulnerable to destabilizing events.
