ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we investigate the demographic changes underlying labour market transformations in Southern Mediterranean countries. It is not possible to understand the difficulties of, or opportunities in, labour markets without considering the dimensional and compositional changes in the population aspiring to participate therein.
