ABSTRACT

The twenty-two essays presented here to Gilbert Faccarello, celebrating his sixty-fifth birthday, range widely across the history of economic analysis and pay fitting tribute to the breadth and depth of Gilbert’s scholarship and published work. In our approach to the sheer extent of Gilbert’s work, we made a tripartite division. It hardly needs to be said that the resulting boundaries will often seem somewhat artificial, not least because the history of economic analysis is itself a seamless whole.
