ABSTRACT

Transportation plays an important role in creating an inclusive society. It provides independent access to employment, education, health facilities, and social and recreational activities (IDRM, 2005, 2007a, 2007b). Without accessible transportation, people with disabilities are more likely to be excluded from services, social contact, and become stuck in a disability-poverty cycle (Roberts & Babinard, 2005; Venter et al., n.d.).
