ABSTRACT
Every year millions of people are forced to leave their homes in times of disasters linked to natural hazards and effects of climate change. This reality creates specific protection needs for displaced persons and is increasingly recognised by the international community as one of the big humanitarian challenges of the 21st century that needs to be addressed.
