ABSTRACT
Stridor refers to the abnormal noisy breathing that occurs due to turbulent airflow passing through the narrow lumen of a partially obstructed airway. The degree of stridor is dictated by the amount of reduction in lumen size, whereas the type of stridor is determined by the location of the obstruction.
