ABSTRACT
Hydrometrocolpos is a condition in which the uterus and vagina are grossly distended with retained fluid other than blood, usually in the presence of distal vaginal obstruction. The diagnosis and treatment of hydrometrocolpos has now been better streamlined as the condition is being diagnosed prenatally more frequently with the use of ultrasound and fetal magnetic resonance (MR) imaging.
