ABSTRACT
I am a 34-year-old Chinese female residing in Singapore. Graduating from LASALLE College of Arts in 2012 with a master’s in art therapy, I spent the first four years post graduation working as a full-time art therapist at Assisi Hospice. Founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood in 1969, Assisi Hospice provides inpatient, day care and home care services. There are currently two full-time art therapists and both group and individual art therapy are available for inpatient and day care residents. Only individual therapy is available for those in home settings. I also have previous internship experience at a children’s home while doing my MA Art Therapy training at LASALLE. This experience with children has helped me to provide child bereavement support through art therapy at Assisi Hospice. Currently, I am pursuing a diploma in Montessori to deepen my understanding of child development.
