ABSTRACT
My name is Sara Powell and I am from United Kingdom. I have spent many years in the Middle East and Asia. I am the founder of the Art Therapy International Centre (ATIC), a psychological and counselling centre, which specialises in art(s) therapies. ATIC was first established in Singapore in 2010 (co-founder) and subsequently Dubai in 2015 as a sole proprietor, the latter after moving back to Dubai in 2015. I received my MA in Art Therapy from LASALLE University, Singapore and am currently a registered member of the Australian New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA). I have since provided art therapy to children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, families, and couples and have facilitated a variety of therapy groups. Additionally, I have been fortunate to work with government agencies, NGO’s and a variety of medical, education and rehabilitative organisations. I specialise in supporting women and children with varied challenges.
