ABSTRACT
The emerging dialogue between new media and traditional historical research offers multidisciplinary teams the option of innovative approaches to visualizing and communicating historical information. Our video, “The History of a Site and Its Transformations: From Carità to the Gallerie dell’Accademia,” was created to exploit the affordances of emerging technologies as a means of public outreach, showing how a large section of Venice, an area covering some 12,000 meters, has been transformed over the centuries.
