ABSTRACT

The very first familiar association is the family, and then with the widening circles of friends, other associations develop. For many there is the fellowship of religion related affiliation which has a distinct identity. For us, in our young days, our association was confined within the bounds of Jorasanko. Our get-togethers, whatever the occasion, festive or mourning, were of family members only. After we shifted to Kashiabagan our social contacts expanded because of the Theosophical Society and mother’s Sakhi Samiti, but these friendships were not deep, rather superficial.
