ABSTRACT

Child authors will undoubtedly be familiar with watching actors (male and female) performing on the ‘big screen’ (cinema)/‘small screen’ (television). Some of them will have relished being watched by friends and family as they engage in various school productions including nativity plays, end of term/year show-pieces and class assemblies. However, most child authors will not give much thought to the script that will have been written to aid such productions.
