ABSTRACT
Objectives The main objectives of World Trade Organization (WTO) are: • to supervise and liberalize international trade; • to supervise the settlements of commercial conflicts.
The WTG shall facilitate the implementation, administration, and operation, and further the objectives of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994 and the Multilateral Trade Agreements (which are binding on all members), including the General Agreement on Trade in Services and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), and shall also provide the framework for the implementation, administration, and operation of the Plurilateral Trade Agreements (which are binding on the members that have accepted them, but which do not create either obligations or rights for members that have not accepted them).
