Psychosurgery done with the hope of producing an am elioration from psychosis and neurosis has been reported by various investiga to rs to produce changes, both desirab le and undesirable, in the a tti tudes of the patient toward life and life’s problem s. Cases described as having changed with respect to politics and relig ion have been cited and discussed by Reitman 048), Hutton 047), and Rylander 049).
