ABSTRACT
An Andalusian scholar of Islamic law, Hadiṯh, Qur‘anic exegesis, theology, and linguistics. He was born in Granada, where he lived and died in 1388. He is generally considered one of the most important scholars of Islamic law in Classical Arabic. Al-Muwafaqat fi ‘Usul al-Fiqh is his major work.
